Wednesday 14 September 2022 Scopay and lunch payments Dear parents/carers, As some of you will already be aware, we are still experiencing issues with Scopay dinner money where accounts are not showing the correct purchase history. This is incredibly frustrating but we do want to reassure you that your money has been received and is with the catering company and all of our learners are able to purchase food on site as normal should they choose to do despite what your account may show. Monday 12 September 2022 After school clubs Dear Parents/Carers, Unfortunately our plan to start running all clubs this week has been delayed due to access issues with our online booking system. We hope to have this resolved ready for next week and you will receive a letter containing all the relevant information regarding how to login and sign up ASAP. Many of our Sports Clubs are starting this week and details of these have been sent out by our PE Team. For now, students can just turn up to these Sports Clubs and will be guaranteed a space as we have plenty of staff available to supervise. Monday 12 September 2022 Friday 16th September- late start arrangements Dear all, Please note that, in line with Olympus Academy Trust policy across all secondary schools, school begins at 09:50am (gates open at 09:25am) on the morning after open evening. Therefore, there will be a late start for all learners this Friday (16th September), including Post 16. Periods 2 and 3 will run consecutively from 09:50am for all year groups and lunch times will run as normal. Learners may wish to bring a snack to have before school starts if they have had an early breakfast. The bus service is a public service so we are unable to alter bus times. Friday 11 December 2020 Government to reduce length of isolation Dear parents/carers,We are aware that the government has today issued an additional update with reference to the length of time that individuals need to self-isolate: from 14 to 10 days and including those who are currently self-isolating.As is often the case, the announcement comes on a Friday and with no warning, leaving us little or no time to act and prepare in the way we would have liked. The change was initially picked up on the BBC link covering the story (see below).I am sure you yourselves would rather not have found out via this route and in truth this does represent a rather unwelcome addition to staff workload on a Friday afternoon and during the weekend. However, I am writing to you to let you know that this means some groups of students will now be asked to return on a different date than originally planned.
