Union Duties

Winterbourne Academy recognises and respects the important role that trade unions play in supporting staff well-being, professional development and workplace rights.

We are committed to building positive working relationships and ensuring that union representatives have the necessary time and resources to carry out their duties effectively. 

It is a statutory requirement to publish time out of school by staff on union business. During 2024-25, 15 hours were taken out of school by staff who are union representatives. Hours for 2025-26 will be published at the end of the academic year.
