Union Duties

Winterbourne Academy recognises and respects the important role that trade unions play in supporting staff well-being, professional development and workplace rights.

We are committed to fostering positive working relationships and ensuring that union representatives have the necessary time and resources to carry out their duties effectively. 

It is a statutory requirement to publish time out of school by staff on union business. During 2023-24, 7.5 hours was taken out of school by staff who are union representatives. Hours for 2024-25 will be published at the end of the academic year.
