Key Dates
SUMMER 2025 EXAMS
Exam boards have now released their exam schedules for Summer 2025 - details can be found on each exam board website. The full 2025 summer schedule will be placed here in March 2025. Formal exams start on Thursday 8th May and run until Friday 20th June. The contingency day is Wednesday 25th June - please do not book holiday until after this date.
P16 JANUARY 2025 MOCK EXAMS
Y13 formal mock exams will be held between Monday 20th - Friday 31st January. There are a number of clashes between subjects so students will need to check exam timetables carefully to make sure they know where & when their exam is being held. Please note that Y13 travelling students will sit the mock exam in the centre they are taught (this is different to a real exam which is always sat in their home centre).
Y12 students taking vocational subjects that have early external exams will sit a formal mock exam under strict exam conditions. These are highlighted in colour in the timetable below. Mocks for all other Y12 subjects will be held in classrooms.
JANUARY 2025 VOCATIONAL PUBLIC EXAMS
Some P16 students will be sitting vocational exams between 7th - 17th January 2025. The detail of date, time, venue & seat numbers can be found on individual exam timetables. The general timetable is shown below:
If a timetable is showing 'TBC' next to time, end time, location & seat - this usually indicates the exam is a controlled assessment and will be held in a classroom with a time organised by the teacher.
Y11 FEBRUARY 2025 MOCK EXAMS
Year 11 will be sitting mock exams during the week before and the week after half term (10th - 13th Feb & 24th - 28th Feb). Timetables will be emailed to students w/c 20th January 2025.
Year 10 will be sitting their RS/Citizenship mock exam on Wednesday 26th Feb (8.30am start).
The full February schedule can be found here:
EXAM CERTIFICATE COLLECTION - DECEMBER 2024
Summer 2024 exam certificates were made available for students to collect at the beginning of December 2024. If you were unable to collect during that time, certificates can now be collected from Reception on any term-time school day between 8.30am - 3.30pm.
Exam certificates are legal documents and students are required to sign to confirm receipt of their certificates. If students are not able to collect them in person, they can let us know in writing who is authorised to collect on their behalf. The person collecting will need to bring their photo ID with them when they collect.
RS & Citizenship GCSE certificates for Year 10 will be held until their Year 11 GCSEs are collected. These can be collected from Reception if students prefer to get them earlier.
It is each student’s responsibility to collect their certificates.
Certificates not collected within one year of their release may be securely disposed of. Replacement certificates are not generally available for GCSEs and examination boards may charge for replacement certificates of other qualifications (if they offer a replacement service at all). If your GCSE certificates have been disposed of then your only option may be to contact the exam boards for a 'Certified Statement of Results'. Please note that Winterbourne Academy will not pay the cost of any replacement certificates or Certified Statements of Results.Exam Guidance
