Welcome to Winterbourne Academy, the largest secondary school in South Gloucestershire and part of the Olympus Academy Trust.
In April 2026, we proudly achieved an Ofsted Expected Standard rating, described as “a high standard, to make sure your children are receiving everything they need and deserve.” This reflects our commitment to providing a rich and caring environment where every child is supported and challenged to succeed. We aim to build an inclusive, welcoming school where all belong and can achieve their best.
We are academically ambitious for all our young people and celebrate the excellent outcomes they achieve, with students securing a 99% exam pass rate in 2026, 28% of grades at Grade 7 or above, and strong attainment in English and Maths, where 74% achieved Grade 4+ and over half achieved Grade 5+. However, grades alone are not enough. We also prepare our learners to be successful in the changing world through extensive enrichment opportunities and our our PRIDE character values of Participation, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence throughout academy life.
Our aim is to empower each child for their future. Students of all abilities can enjoy learning while developing character and independence, leaving us with the qualifications, confidence and skills to reach their potential in all aspects of life.
