Accessing work from home
We know that sometimes learners are unavoidably absent from school. When this happens it is essential that work is provided so that they do not fall behind in their academic studies. Students can access learning resources through:
- Google Classroom
- Oak National Academy (https://classroom.thenational.academy)
- Our English, Maths and Science Resources page (Winterbourne Academy - Resources)
- Our Key Stage 4 Revision Resource page (Winterbourne Academy - Revision resources- Years 10 & 11)
- Arbor portal (Log in to your School | Arbor) (You may find this video useful: Using the Student Portal)
If you require any further information relating to a particular subject, please contact your child’s teacher.
Links and support contacts for the online platforms we use can be found here: Winterbourne Academy - Logins
Office 365
All students and staff at Winterbourne Academy are eligible for a free Microsoft Office 365 package. Users have access to the various Office applications in both online format, and as desktop apps (which can be downloaded to a range of devices).
To access the apps, visit the Microsoft site: Free Office 365 for Students and Educators | Microsoft Education
To register, users will need to sign in using their Winterbourne Academy email address. The webpage will then ask for a password (this is the same password as used to access the Winterbourne Academy school network). The site will then ask for a phone number for verification purposes. The rest of the process is self-explanatory (follow the on-screen instructions).
