Winterbourne Academy

Olympus

Welcome to Winterbourne Academy, the largest secondary school in South Gloucestershire and part of the Olympus Academy Trust. In May 2022, we achieved 'Good' in our Ofsted report and since then we have worked with all stakeholders to setting our vision for our next chapter, developing shared school values of community, equity and ambition.  We aim to build an inclusive, welcoming school where all belong and can achieve their best.

We are academically ambitious for all our young people and are proud of our exam results, with 54% of Year 11 students gaining at least one Grade 7 to 9 in 2025 and 98% gaining at least 5 GCSEs. However, grades alone are not enough; we also prepare our learners to be successful in the changing working world, as citizens and individuals. We do this by offering extensive enrichment opportunities and embedding our PRIDE
character values of Participation, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence throughout academy life.

Our aim is to empower each child for their future, providing a stable, rich, and warm environment where we can both support and challenge. Students of all abilities can enjoy learning whilst developing both character and independence, leaving the school with the qualifications and confidence to reach their potential in all aspects of life.
