Winterbourne Academy

Olympus

Welcome to Winterbourne Academy, the largest secondary school in South Gloucestershire and part of the Olympus Academy Trust. In May 2022, we achieved 'Good' in our Ofsted report and since then we have worked with all stakeholders to setting our vision for our next chapter, developing shared school values of community, equity and ambition.  We aim to build an inclusive, welcoming school where all belong and can achieve their best.

Our academy is academically ambitious for all our young people. However, grades alone are not enough in today's society. Our curriculum provides the breadth and depth across years 7 to 13, providing opportunities for learners to pursue their areas of interest. We also prepare our learners to be successful in the changing working world, as citizens and individuals by offering extensive enrichment opportunities and embedding the PRIDE character values of Participation, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence throughout academy life.

Our aim is to empower each child for their future, providing a stable, rich, supportive and rigorous environment so that students of all abilities can enjoy learning whilst developing both character and academic depth, leaving the school with the qualifications, skills, attitudes and confidence to reach their potential in all aspects of life.
